How much water do you need?

It all depends on how much product we took. Proportion is important here – there should be three times more liquid. That is, if we decide to cook 150-200 g of noodles, we will need 450-600 ml of water.

How long should rice noodles be cooked?

It all depends on what dish you are going to use it for. We will suggest several options for how to cook rice noodles:

  • For salad. Put the noodles in a fairly large pan, pour fresh boiling water over them, then stir them slightly with a wooden or plastic spatula to prevent sticking. After five minutes, put it in a colander and rinse it with running cold water. Then add it to a bowl with other ingredients and mix gently.
  • For soup. For the first dish, drop the noodles into boiling salted water and boil for four minutes, then drain on a sieve and rinse with cold running water. We advise you to first spread the ready noodles in plates, and then add the hot broth to them.
  • For garnish and noodle dishes. You don’t need to cook the rice noodles, it’s enough to pour boiling water for five minutes, then put them on a sieve or colander and, when the excess water drains, combine them with sauce, fried vegetables, seafood or meat and stew for another two minutes. Cover the pan with a lid and let the dish infuse.

Do you need salt?

Yes, because otherwise the dish will be lean. But remember that the product does not like salt very much – one or two crumbs will be enough to taste, especially if you plan to mix the noodles with other salted products.

How to cook so that the noodles do not stick together?

Another little trick that will come in handy after cooking. When the Asian noodles have already been removed from the stove, put them in a colander and drain the excess.
