Before starting to form sushi, you need to prepare everything you need. The composition of California rolls in capelin caviar (for a portion of 230 g) includes the following ingredients:

  • 120 g — boiled seasoned rice for sushi Katana;
  • 0.5 sheet — Katana nori seaweed;
  • 10 g — mayonnaise;
  • 25 g — cucumber;
  • 20 g — avocado;
  • 40 g — lightly salted salmon;
  • 10 g — Masago caviar.

So, let’s start cooking California rolls with salmon in capelin caviar with you at home.

  1. Let’s cut a sheet of nori seaweed in width. We use half of the sheet.
  2. Place it on a bamboo mat with the rough side up, add cooked and seasoned rice to the surface. It should lie in a dense even layer but do not forget to leave 1.5 cm of free space at the top edge of the seaweed sheet.
  3. Now let’s turn the workpiece so that the rice is on the bottom, and the free edge of the seaweed is closer to us. In the center along the entire width, add fish, vegetables cut into strips, and pour mayonnaise over everything.
  4. Let’s twist the rug in the form of a roll.
  5. After coating the rolls in capelin roe, cut them into eight equal parts with a sharp knife pre-wetted with water. To prevent the masago from sticking to your hands, you can wear gloves or put a teaspoon of caviar on the rice as soon as you spread it on the nori sheet. Just don’t miss the moment that, in this case, you may need a little more caviar, but the rolls will look lush and elegant.
  6. It is best to serve them together with soy sauce, ginger petals and wasabi.
